Are You Planning a Move?

Moves don’t happen in a day. Ensuring a stress-free move requires proper planning, research, and organization. To help you manage your move more efficiently, we’ve put together a printable moving checklist to help guide you during each stage of the moving process. With a little guidance and direction, you’ll be well on your way to enjoying a seamless move and hassle-free transition.

5 Weeks Out

Get started early! Do you need to reserve an elevator? Does your building require an Insurance Liability Certificate

3 Weeks Out

Lock in your transit insurance. Depending on your move, start separate items for AIR shipment and for STORAGE.

1 Week Out

Finalize any outstanding move documents. Arrange for mail forwarding. Cancel any automatic deliveries (ie Amazon).

MOVING DAY!

First, set aside all items you need to carry with you (keys, passports, money, toys for travel). Now relax and let us take it from here!

Pre-Move Surveys

The pre-move survey is a vital component to a successful move. It provides essential information needed to price and set up the project properly. We complete surveys one of three ways:

In-Person
Visit with a moving professional who will walk the project location(s), ask questions, and take thorough notes of the scope of your project.

Virtually
Visit with a moving professional via a FaceTime type experience (contactless). This method requires a web-enabled mobile device with a camera.

Over the Phone
Connect with a moving professional over a phone call and walk through your project with them. We encourage all our clients to take advantage of the benefits a pre-move survey offers. Reach out to a Relocation Specialist to learn more.

Michael J. Stevenson founded Team Six in 2014, and to this day serves as the company’s Managing Director, overseeing its development and day-to-day operations. Michael spent most of his early professional career in the logistics and household goods transportation industries where he successfully assisted more than 3,000 individuals and families with their international and domestic relocations. This extensive experience afforded him the opportunity to delve into every area of the move process, and his passion for details drove Michael to ensure the Team Six solution was the best in the business.
